Thomas Murphy finished serving the in the United States Marine Corp in September 1982. Following his enlistment there were many challenges and fields to choose from. He did not enter college until September 1989, completing his degree as a physical therapist’s assist at Suffolk Community College in 1993. Thomas elected to continue his education and received his Master’s of Science in Physical Therapy degree at Mercy College in 1997.
Thomas now has extensive experience in orthopedic physical therapy over the last 19 years. He has also gained experience in acute care, short and long term rehabilitation, neurological and balance
deficits, pediatrics to geriatrics. Thomas also has a background in functional capacity evaluations and assessments. He has been an instructor for large companies, educating staff in proper lifting techniques and proper mechanics.
Thomas Murphy has a compassion for healing and helping patients return to their prior level of activity following injury. He attributes successful outcomes by learning from his patients.
